Beautiful words from beautiful people
“Our experience was both sad and beautiful at the same time. We are so grateful that Max was at home with us and under your compassionate care. It was clear to me that you were chosen to do the work by a force that is greater than all of us. A calling few can answer.”

“I’m so very grateful for your understanding, support, and loving care.
Preparing to call you and then following through with letting Stripes go was agonizing. I appreciate you listening to all of my concerns and sharing your experiences with your own fur babies. I felt reassured that I was not premature in saying goodbye this weekend – even as I wished I didn’t have to.
I took a great deal away from our time together, and feel that you’ve given me thoughts and perspective on how I approach patients in crisis and their family members during emergencies. Your kindness and grace touched me, and I hope to carry it forward in my work as well.”

“Words can’t express our appreciation for your kindness through a tough time and helping us accept that we made the right decision for Loki…
There’s a TV adaptation of my favorite novel called Station Eleven. In the show, they describe a doctor’s job as having the courage to bear witness to death, the courage to be there. I believe that’s not quite correct. It is not just having courage, but also helping others find their own courage to be there.
Thank you for helping us find our courage to be there for Loki.”

“Your in-home visit was incredible, far beyond anything I had imagined. Your calm manner and explanations of what was to happen were very reassuring and we felt as if you had all the time in the world to spend with us.
One of the worst parts of an in clinic euthanasia is the drive there. Your visit eliminated that and Alice was able to stay in her own bed, in her own house. The last picture of her in my mind is curled up in her bed, with the flowers and the gray blanket tucked around her looking so peaceful. ”

“It is impossible for me to put into words how deeply grateful my family and I are that we were able to give our beloved Daisy such a peaceful and beautiful end to her life, in her own backyard. She gave us so much over the 14 years she shared with us, and she richly deserved this final gift. I cannot thank you enough for making this happen, and for making Daisy’s passing such a love-filled occasion. We will not forget it. I know it is what Daisy wanted, and that is immensely gratifying to us.”

“We all have had numerous conversations about the day and we just want to say thank you again for your kindness and patience. For the circumstances it was beautiful and peaceful like we wanted. We loved that she greeted you, It was her last tail wag. She gave it to you. She knew…. You were there to help.”
– Danielle C.
“Thank you, Dr. Jeni, for your kind words and comfort as well as your gentle support and assistance yesterday. The gift you gave us in helping her die in comfort, love, and without fear is immeasurable.
We’re very sad to have lost our sweet Maggie, but thanks to you, that sadness is fully grounded in loving memory of a life well lived, unmarred by final trauma or regret. Thank you for making that possible for us and for giving Maggie such a peaceful passing from her pain and discomfort.”

“I just wanted to let you know how appreciative I am of what you did for Barry, and myself. It was obviously such a difficult time, and still is for me, but what you did for us on that Sunday made it better for both Barry and me. I was scared to have a stranger come into the situation, but I am so thankful that you did. I believe that you gave Barry the best possible last moments, and allowing me to be there right with him and holding him the whole time, I cannot thank you enough. You helped both Barry, and me also by making that time the best it could be, and I believe my grieving and healing process is less fraught with pain and sadness and uncertainty about Barry’s last moments because of you. What you do and how you do it is so important. Thank you again, from my heart, for taking care of both Barry and me that Sunday morning. I will always remember that time, and I feel that Barry received the best compassionate care and treatment from you, and I hope Barry could feel how much I loved him and also. I will always be thankful for you for what you did for Barry, I can’t say it enough.”
– Sandy K.
“I must say, as difficult as it was to say goodbye, your kindness and compassion really helped me through. I am grateful that I didn’t have to take her out of her home and cause her any stress. It is comforting to me that she was peaceful and relaxed and in her own home at the end of her life. Thank you so much for helping us through this process. It was probably the hardest thing I have ever done, saying goodbye to her. What really helped me through was your support and warmth and acceptance. I can’t thank you enough.”
– Liz M.
“Thank you for helping us with Chino. We feel very fortunate that we were able to do this at home, and with someone as kind and compassionate as you are. Losing a pet is always hard, especially one that’s been part of my life for 20 years. But I’m happy to know that she was not scared or in pain (and in fact was eating her favorite treats while getting sleepy).
Thank you again. What you do makes a huge difference, and we really appreciated it.”

“Dr. Goedken,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for coming into our home and making the process as smooth as possible for letting our Molly girl go in peace…..
We try to find comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and her body is at peace. It’s hard to let someone take our baby away to be cremated, but we know she is in great hands with your team. The whole process was a smooth and peaceful process thanks to you. I can’t thank you enough.”
– Kimberly H.
“Ziggy was such a presence, so full of life, energy and love and we will miss him forever. With that said, we want to thank you for being absolutely amazing and making us feel as comfortable as possible during the process and making sure Ziggy was as comfortable as possible for his final moments. It means the world to us and we hope you know that we appreciate you and what you do. It is not an easy job and it takes very special people to do what you do. We are beyond thankful!
Thank you thank you thank you!”
– Jeanette M.
“Thank you so much for your kind, caring and calming way with us. Though not an easy task you did it with grace and let us have all the time we needed with her. We appreciate you taking care of us and her with compassion.”
– Molly R.
“Your service was exceptional. My daughter on Facetime is a nurse in Portland and called his passing “beautifully sad” and complemented the care you took with Oscar.”
– Dana S.
“Thank you for your patience and kindness, it meant so much on a difficult day and sad week. I am happy that we were able to do this at home with familiar smells and faces for Bella. We miss her very much. Thank you again.”
– Steve A.
“Even though it was so difficult to let Cooper go, having the home appointment and letting him go in peace made all the difference. I told all of my family and friends how you were so kind, patient, and warm and you walked us through the process with such care and detail. You allowed us to say goodbye in our time, and it truly meant the world to me.”
